task 4 , purpose and common feature a title sequence

There are 3 main purposes for a title sequence in a movie , one being to introduce characters and actors to the audience. for example if there was a new upcoming actor or just a well known actor that would be mentioned to grab the attention of that specific actor/actresses fans and so promote the movie even more. another purpose of a title sequence is that it is to set the atmosphere of the movie , the first 2 minutes is what allows the audience to make a overall judgment of the movie itself as things such as

* the soundtrack

* credits 

* location/settings

are very important aspects 

i believe that the best title sequence out of the ones we looked at in class has to be skyfall, this is because it straight away sets the atmosphere of this action packed movie due to the non diegetic soundtrack of 'skyfall' by adele which really the lyrics kind of foreshadow the events to come in the movie
